Griven Illuminates Norway's Massive Finnkirka Cliffs
The Finnkirka cliffs along the western coast of Norway are among the most magnificent coastal rock formations in the world. In Norwegian, Finnkirka means Finnish church cliffs, which alludes to the cathedral like grandeur and appearance of Norway’s craggy coast. World renowned lighting designer, Kurt Hermansen was recently commissioned to paint the Finnkirka with light, in order fully display the majesty and splendor of the rock formations. The installation, which opened in October of 2010, was powered by Griven’s powerful and indestructible outdoor color changing fixtures. The Finnkirka cliffs are regularly toured by cruise ships and tourists, so it will certainly be an unforgettable outdoor lighting installation.
