I’m a pretty frugal person. I don’t buy things I don’t need, I try not to eat out too often, and I never unnecessary days off of work. My one vice is my electric bill. At the end of each month, I’d dread seeing the white envelope sitting in my mailbox containing an enormous bill. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t manage to remember to turn off the lights late at night. Parking in my garage I’d leave the lights on, having a late night snack in the kitchen I’d leave the lights on, watching TV in the living room I’d leave the lights on… you get the picture. After complaining day in and day out to one of my best friends, she finally suggested I invest in small motion sensor lights. That way, every time I use a room, no matter the hour, the lights will automatically shut off due to the lack of movement. Why had that idea never occurred to me?! So, I went online in search of a motion sensor light that wouldn’t break my budget. To my immense pleasure I stumbled upon an Osram Sylvania LED Motion sensorlight on BulbAmerica.com for under $15.00!! I bought a few and installed them around my house in rooms that I usually frequent at night. They were extremly easy to install and are actually pretty cute. The light lasts a ridiculously long time since it is an LED and helped my electricity bill go way down. These days I look forward to finding that white envelope in the mailbox. To me it’s a sign of my small personal victory!
